Bang! The Star Wars: Legacy of the Force series has finally begun! And boy has it. Betrayal is an instant classic that every fan should read. Don't worry if you haven't read much Star Wars literature because Aaron Allston explains a lot of the things that have occured in previous Star Wars expanded universe works. This makes for some slow reading for experienced Star Wars readers at the beginning, but the story quickly picks up.

Betrayal begins on the world of Adumar which was featured in the last novel of the X-Wing series, but it doesn't end there. The opening serves only to introduce the major conflict in the galaxy: the Corellian desire to be an independent system and the Galactic Alliance's desire to make them bare their fair share of the government's cost. The situation is confounded by fact that the Skywalker family has loyalties on both sides, throw in a robot that thinks he's Anakin Skywalker and a full war could break out at any time...

Jacen Solo was changed by the Yuzhan Vong and Vergere, but how much was he changed? Will the Rebel Alliance be reborn in Corellia? Will civil war break out? Pick up Legacy of the Force: Betrayal and you won't be able to put it down!
